Design Wall Monday - March 12, 2012

Oggi continuo il mio lavoro di trapunto: ho terminato il pannello di appliqué giapponese, mi piace molto l'effetto "vento" creato dai riccioli di aria che soffia, mi piace anche l'effetto acciotolato del terreno.
Procede invece il tapunto della stella di Betlemme.

Sto recuperando stoffa da una camicia di mio marito perché sto pensando di preparare una coperta, come lo scorso anno, per la sottoscrizione a premi del Partito Democratico del mio paese, Peschiera Borromeo per la prossima estate; questa volta non più un rag quilt ma un quilt trapuntato a macchina (ci provo almeno).

Today I'm going on quilting.  

I've finished the Japanese appliqué panel, I really love the effect of "wind" created by the curls of blowing air, I also like the effect of the cobbled ground.

I'm proceeding quilting the star of Bethlehem.

In the meantime I'm cutting cloths from some shirts my husband doesn' wear anymore; I'm thinking to sew a blanket, to give to my city's Democratic Party, (Peschiera Borromeo) for next summer lottery; this time no more a rag quilt, but a quilting machine blanket (at least I'm going to try).
